PRP Microneedling

Microneedling paired with platelet-rich plasma from your own blood — for smoother texture, tone, and glow.

PRP Microneedling

PRP microneedling pairs two of the most effective ways to renew skin: microneedling and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) drawn from your own blood. Together they stimulate collagen and refresh tone and texture — using nothing but your body's own growth factors. At Vue Medical Spa in Salt Lake City, every treatment is provider-led.

What it is

We begin by drawing a small sample of your blood and concentrating it with the Crown Aesthetics ProGen system to isolate the platelets and growth factors your body uses to heal. Using SkinPen — the first FDA-cleared microneedling device — we create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin, then apply your PRP so those growth factors reach deep into the treated layers.

What it helps with

The combination is a popular choice for overall skin rejuvenation — smoothing texture, softening fine lines, and improving tone and radiance across the full face. PRP for skin is supported by clinical research; it is not an FDA-cleared aesthetic treatment on its own, and your provider will review whether it's right for you.

What to expect

Plan for about 60 minutes: a quick blood draw, processing, microneedling, and application of your PRP. Expect mild redness — similar to a light sunburn — for one to three days afterward. Results build gradually as collagen rebuilds, and a series is typically recommended for the best results.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is PRP microneedling?

It's microneedling combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from your own blood. The microneedling creates channels that let your PRP's growth factors reach deeper layers of skin to boost collagen and renewal.

Is it safe?

Because the PRP comes from your own blood, the risk of a reaction is very low. Microneedling is performed with the FDA-cleared SkinPen device, and your provider reviews your health history first.

How many sessions will I need?

Results build over a series. Many clients start with a few sessions spaced about 4–6 weeks apart, then maintain periodically.

What is the downtime?

Expect redness similar to a mild sunburn for one to three days. Most people return to normal activities the next day.

When will I see results?

You may notice a fresh glow within a week, but collagen continues to rebuild over the following weeks, with results improving across a series.
