Because your body's lymphatic system carries the ink away over time, a tattoo fades over months and several sessions rather than all at once — and we set realistic expectations from the very first consult.
Sessions are relatively quick and scale with the tattoo's size; most people describe the sensation as an intense, hot snapping. Afterward the area may be red, raised, or lightly blistered as it heals — normal, and covered in your aftercare. Treatments are spaced about 8–10 weeks apart to let your body clear the ink and the skin recover between sessions.
